Wie geht es weiter mit dem Blog? – How the blog will continue? Fontenoy? 1620?

Nachdem bereits die Landleben 1620-Veranstaltung vom Freilandmuseum abgesagt worden ist, haben wir nun auch die Bestätigung erhalten, dass auch unsere Anno Domini-Jubiläumsveranstaltung im August ersatzlos entfällt. Die erzwungenermaßen erfolgten Ausfälle der Veranstaltungen bringen das Freilandmuseum Wackershofen natürlich in Schwierigkeiten, weshalb wir unsere Leser folgenden Aufruf nahelegen wollen: https://www.wackershofen.de/freilandmuseum-in-not/

After canceling our „Landleben 1620“-event, we received the acknowledgement, that our Anno Domini-anniversary event in August is deleted without replacement too. The forced omissions of the events naturally bring many difficulties for the open air museum Wackershofen. Wozu dann aber unser Anno Domini-Blog, wenn wir keine Veranstaltungen in absehbarer Zeit zu erwarten haben?

Es geht selbstredend darum das Museum weiter zu bewerben.

Wir werden voraussichtlich in den nächsten Monaten die Interviewreihe fortsetzen.

Außerdem gibt es dann Artikel zu speziellen historischen Jubiläen, wenn diese in den zeitlichen Rahmen unserer Veranstaltungen passen. Das betrifft zum Beispiel die Schlacht bei Fontenoy.

Why we should continue the Anno Domini-blog, when we have not to expect events in a foreseeable amount of time?

It’s about promotion for the museum.

We will continue most possibly our series of interviews.

Besides we will offer postings about historical anniversaries if they are falling into the timeframe of our events. That includes for example the battle of Fontenoy.

Übrigens haben wir am 19. April sozusagen als persönlichen Ausgleich für den Wegfall der Landleben 1620 Veranstaltung einen kleinen Ausflug unternommen. Entsprechend den Vorschriften in Baden-Württemberg in Zeiten der Corona-Krise nur unsere Familie im Wald und im angemessenen Abstand zu anderen Wanderern.

Im 17. Jahrhundert gab es vielerlei Ursachen als Landleute unterwegs zu sein. Natürlich waren immer Leute auf dem Weg zwischen dem Dorf und dem städtischen Markt. Andere mussten im Zuge kriegerischer Ereignisse aus ihren Wohnstätten fliehen oder wurden aus religiösen Motiven verfolgt. Man denke etwa an das Los der protestantischen Untertanen Ferdinand II., als dieser in Kärnten und der Steiermark die Herrschaft antrat.

Meanwhile we had a small trip on April 19th, you may say as a compensation for the omission of our “Landleben 1620”-event. According to the regulations in Baden-Württemberg during the Corona-crisis we were our family only and we had the appropriate distance to other walkers in the forest.

During the 17^th century peasants had a lot of reasons to be on road. Naturally many people regularly walked from their villages to the town’s markets. Others had to leave their homes in the course of military events or were tracked by religious motivations. You have to think about the fate of the protestant subjects of Ferdinand II., when he came to rule about the Styria and Kärnten.
